We are very lucky to have some amazing places to dine at around the South Downs, be it a gastropub serving high end cuisine, a place to relax for brunch, space for groups on a corporate day or a family friendly pub there is something for everyone. Check out a selection of some of our favourite's which we think are definitely worth a visit when you are in the area.
This gastropub has to be one of our favourites! Located in a truly quintessential English village and on the edge of the village green. It serves exceptional food combined with high end service. If you don’t fancy eating inside they offer a fabulous tented area all year round. This pub also offers private dining for up to 14, perfect for a family get together or corporate lunch.
This is an amazing little cafe located just on the outskirts of Godalming. It is perched up high on a hill offering breath taking views. The cafe is open Thursday to Sunday for coffee, lunch or a glass of wine in the sunshine. If the weather is nice we would recommend reserving a table outside in order to make the most of the setting. Why not cycle to it or even pop along after a spot of paddleboarding on the River Wey.
Billy's on the Beach, Bracklesham Bay
A fantastic restaurant and seaside cafe situated right on the beach. The perfect spot to enjoy some delicious fish and chips after a day by the sea. It is very family friendly and welcomes four legged friends..
Located in the charming village of Lower Eashing near Godalming, this pub is the perfect spot for lunch after a day paddleboarding. Enjoy drinks in the sunshine followed by a delicious lunch on the banks of the River Wey, making for a picturesque backdrop. It also offers stunning accommodation.
Coppa Club, Haslemere
Situated on Haslemere high street, this is the great place to escape to any time for a bite to eat, coffee or early evening cocktail. Why not treat yourself and book one of the outdoor igloo’s, perfect for small groups.
Going slightly off piste but we couldn’t miss this little gem off the list. If you are away with family and friends then we would highly recommend ordering one of their amazing sharing platters delivered direct to your door. No cooking and scrumptious food…win..win!
