For purposes of the policy, references to “we,” “our,” and “us” mean Venture Out South Limited.

Venture Out owns and operates the website at www.ventureout.uk.

Venture Out takes the security and privacy of your data very seriously. We only keep your personal information in order to provide our services to you and in making a booking you authorise us to process your data for this purpose.

Venture Out currently collects and processes the following information in order to provide our service and keep you updated with our products.

Full name, e-mail address, contact address, phone number, details of any group members you are travelling with that you tell us about, payment and billing information and other information that you may provide to us, and non-personally identifiable information (e.g. statistics about what parts of our site are most popular).

How we obtain your personal information and why we have it

The personal information we have is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

 

  1. Services - to enable us to provide our services and respond to your requests.  Your data which is relevant to an activity or other service booked via us will be passed to third party suppliers in order that they are able to fulfil the requirements of providing your chosen services.
     

  2. Marketing - to send you information about those of our services and those of other companies (in so far as you have consented to this) that may be of interest to you, by email, SMS text or other electronic media. You can unsubscribe from receiving our marketing information anytime by emailing us.
     

  3. Legal obligations.


Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you when you fill it in and send it to us, such as by completing an enquiry/booking form, signing up for an electronic newsletter, entering a competition, or sending us a message via an e-mail reply mechanism provided by this site.

We use and may share the information with third party suppliers (such as cottage companies, caterers, activity specialists, suppliers) that you have given us in order to operate our business, to provide you our services, to complete any related transactions and collect related payments, to provide customer care and to communicate with you in connection with our services.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Photographs may be taken during the course of activities which we and/or our third party suppliers may use for advertising purposes, including posting on our website and social media pages. No photos of participants will ever be allowed to pass to any other party without written consent of the participant. If you have any concerns or do not wish to be included in any photography please make it clear to us when booking.

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored at Venture Out head office in the United Kingdom.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. We keep you personal information for as long as is necessary for the purpose in which it was collected for or as long as is required by law.

Complaints

Any complaints must be notified to us as soon as possible so that attempts can be made to resolve any problems immediately. You will be provided with a telephone number for our offices at the time of booking.

We will not be held responsible for the non-performance of an element of a booking through causes beyond our control or when we are not notified of a problem at the point when remedial action can be taken.

In the unlikely event that a complaint cannot be resolved at the time, you should write to us at Venture Out, 3 Hill Farm Close, Haslemere, GU27 3SU within 28 days of returning home, giving your original booking reference number and all other relevant information. If you fail to take any of these steps this will hinder our ability to put any problem right and/or investigate it fully and any right you may have will be reduced or invalidated.
